Why This Journey

This journey begins in Kunming, where Yunnan’s abundance first appears through markets, flowers, food, and a relaxed city rhythm.

From there, guests fly to Lancang and continue into Jingmai Mountain for a rare rainforest retreat experience. Staying among restored traditional Dai houses, guests enter a world shaped by ancient tea forests, Bulang and Dai wisdom, wild biodiversity, and the quiet rhythm of village life. Here, tea is not treated as a simple drink, but as part of a living ecosystem: tasted through rainforest omakase, jungle-to-table foraging, forest walks, afternoon tea, plant dyeing, and meals rooted in Dai and Bulang culinary traditions.

The route then moves to Menglian, near the China–Myanmar border, where avocado farms, coffee estates, waterfalls, Dai dance and local cooking open another side of southwest Yunnan: warmer, more tropical, more borderland, and deeply connected to the cultures of Southeast Asia.

The journey returns to Kunming for a soft final night, giving guests a comfortable and reassuring end before departure.
